Remembering Matthew and Protecting Youth Athletes

The support we have received during the MMJF Online October Fundraiser is a testament to Matthew, the legacy he created, and the impact the foundation can have on our community. As more people learn about Matthew and the mission of the foundation that bears his name, we will be able to continue to save the lives of more youth athletes in our community and beyond.

We continue to celebrate Matthew and his Heavenly 18th Birthday during the remainder of October. Matthew had an impact on so many people; one very special person is his younger brother, Joseph. Please watch the video below to hear Joseph talk about the time they spent together as well as a touching tribute to Matthew:

As we conclude the third week in October, 112 donors have given over $8,000.  These crucial funds will help the foundation acquire more life-saving equipment for schools and youth sports organizations in and around Cincinnati.  We will be able to support additional educational opportunities, such as advocating for the use and practice of Emergency Action Plans (EAP).  The need in our community is large, as evident by MMJF adding the 25th school/organization as a partner to ensure safety in youth sports.  We have also scheduled our next TAKE10 Cincinnati training to be conducted next week.  Our hope is that these organizations will be better prepared to protect their athletes in case of emergencies.

Our purpose is to make sure youth and high school athletes are properly cared for because no family should have to endure the pain of a sudden death that is preventablePledge your support today to The Matthew Mangine Jr. Foundation, and share this message with your family and friends so we can save more lives in the future.
